The champions and the three teams relegated from the Premier League may already be confirmed, but there’s still plenty to play for between now and the end of the season.
We have two games on the telly on Saturday, as Fulham head to Villa Park at lunchtime and Bournemouth go to the Emirates Stadium in the evening.
Paddy Power ambassador Joe Cole joined us earlier in the week to give us his picks for both games as the campaign approaches the final straight.
He’s got three player picks in here, too, which are all covered by Paddy’s Super Sub offer, meaning if a player is substituted, the pick carries over to his replacement. Let’s get his tips.
12:30pm: Aston Villa v Fulham
Aston Villa to win
Both teams to score: Yes
Morgan Rogers to score
5:30pm: Arsenal v Bournemouth
Bournemouth to win
Antoine Semenyo to score or assist
Justin Kluivert 2+ shots
Aston Villa v Bournemouth
Premier League match at Villa Park
TV: TNT Sports, 12:30pm
Aston Villa have got to win this game to keep themselves in that Champions League race. It was a a really strange performance from Unai Emery’s team in the FA Cup semi final defeat to Crystal Palace, particularly as they’d only lost two of their previous 12 games.
They just didn’t turn up and it’s Palace into the final. We are still unclear on Marcus Rashford’s future, we don’t really know what’s happening there, so that’s something to keep in mind.
However, Villa do like this fixture, and they’ve won the last four meetings with Fulham. As for the visitors, they are just letting the season slip away, and they’ve not kept a clean sheet in their last six matches.
There is only one place separating the teams in the table, but there is a gap of six points, and that’s massive at this time of the year.
So, with the focus on Villa, I’m backing them to win the game and stay in the European chase but with both teams to score.
I’m also going for Morgan Rogers to score, he’s got eight league goals so far this season, and has been linked with a possible move to Chelsea.
Arsenal v Bournemouth
Premier League match at the Emirates Stadium
TV: Sky Sports Main Event/Premier League, 5:30pm
Arsenal are in a strange position because of that Champions League trip to PSG in midweek and Manchester City will also be hunting them down for second place in the Premier League.
Mikel Arteta has to rest players for sure, they are into last chance saloon against PSG, and that makes this a dangerous game to call for punters.
Bournemouth are unbeaten in their last four games and they gave away a late equaliser against Man United when down to ten men last weekend, which would’ve been devastating for Andoni Iraola.
I’m going to go against the grain here and back Bournemouth to win against a much-changed Arsenal team.
I will add on Antoine Semenyo to score or assist, he’s got nine goals already in the Premier League this season and four assists.
I will also go for Justin Kluivert to have 2 or more shots, he’s averaging 2.4 per game right now, and I just think Arsenal will be fully focused on PSG.
